Bislang keine genauen Regeln<\/strong><\/p>\n

Da es f\u00fcr private Eigent\u00fcmer in Indien aktuell keine spezifische Regulierung gibt um das eigene Boot zu registrieren, bleibt nichts Anderes \u00fcbrig als auf die Regeln zur\u00fcckzugreifen, die seit 1917 f\u00fcr Verkehrs- und Frachtschiffe vorgesehen sind (Inland Vessels Act). Dabei ist die Registrierung eines Boots oder einer Yacht \u2013 gleich welcher Gr\u00f6\u00dfe \u2013 f\u00fcr den Besitzer grunds\u00e4tzlich wichtig. Denn mit der Registrierung kann der Besitzer:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. sein Eigentum verbriefen und gegen\u00fcber anderen Parteien belegen,<\/li>\n
  2. sein Eigentum als Sicherheit f\u00fcr eine Finanzierung gegen\u00fcber Banken und potenziellen K\u00e4ufern glaubhaft machen, und<\/li>\n
  3. best\u00e4tigen, dass sein Boot von Grundpfandrechten unbelastet ist.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Laut Vorschrift ist die Registrierungsnummer jeweils vorne und hinten anzubringen, wobei die Vorschrift f\u00fcr motorisiere Boote zwingend ist. Hingegen sind Boote, die einen Vortrieb mittels Segel erm\u00f6glichen nicht verpflichtet sich registrieren zu lassen. Trotzdem ist auch bei Segelbooten eine Registrierung \u00fcblich, um eine freie Navigation auch in anderen indischen Staatsbezirken zu erleichtern.<\/p>\n

    Eine weitere Ausnahme von der Registrierungsflicht bezieht sich auf Boote mit einem Gewicht unter 15 Tonnen. Grunds\u00e4tzlich sind Linienschiffe zu registrieren beim \u201eDirector General of Shipping\u201c, w\u00e4hrend kleinere K\u00fcsten- und Inlandsgew\u00e4sserboote beim State Maritime Boards registriert sind. Daneben gibt es noch das Maharashtra Maritime Board, eine Agentur, die sich um eine modernere Regulierung und Gesetzesentwicklung auf Staatsebene einsetzt. Mit ihren \u00fcber 400 Mitarbeitern \u00fcbersieht die Agentur etwa 10 % des gesamten indischen Frachtaufkommens und setzt sich f\u00fcr den Schutz der K\u00fcste ein. Au\u00dferdem wirkt sie auch bei der Entwicklung neuer Hafenanlagen mit.<\/p>\n
